For holiday cooking a roasted turkey is often the centerpiece for your meal.  But, what about those times when you would love a roasted turkey, but without all the hassle of making dressing and all the fixin's? Or simply a change from traditional turkey and dressing!

Try this Unique Tip - Turkey Portobello SurpRice!

Pan brown in olive oil a turkey or chicken breast, or turkey or chicken pieces; adding whatever seasonings you prefer.  Reduce heat, cover and cook, or roast in a 325 degree oven until tender.

While the meat is roasting, prepare a package of (Uncle Ben's original) brown and wild rice.  Microwaving works great for this!  Set aside, keeping warm.

Special Unique Tip - Saute in olive oil sliced Portobello mushroom caps.  When mushrooms are just tender, turn off heat, but keep warm.

That's it!  The cooking is done and your Unique Turkey Portobello SurpRice is ready!

Plate up individual servings of your roasted poultry with rice on the side and Portobellos with their luscious glaze over all.  Extra special unique tip - Finish off with a generous side of cranberry sauce!

Enjoy!
